2008 Newly Completed Resorts and New Under Construction Projects!

 1. CityCenter, Las Vegas Strip: A $9.4 Billion Dollar Development, Opens 2009. MGM Mirage's new CityCenter is the most expensive privately funded commercial development in US History. All due to open in 2009: a Casino, Convention Center, Retail Mall, 6 Adjacent High Rise Towers, Parking and Roadways. Expect a spectacular grand opening ceremony!

 2. Plaza Las Vegas, Las Vegas Strip: $5 Billion, Opens 2011/2012. A multi use luxury hotel and casino, private residences, and shopping mall.

 

 3. Echelon, Las Vegas Strip: $4.8 Billion, Opens 2010. A 5,300 room hotel and casino, meeting rooms, 650,000 square feet convention space, retail stores. Five hotels on the Las Vegas Strip,  separate porte-cochere areas. To include a curving 2,500 room Hotel Echelon, a 640 hotel suites at Echelon, a thin  350 room Shangri La, the 860 room Mondrian hotel and 550 room Delano hotel. Each of the hotels will have their own pools, and spas. On August 1, 2008, construction of Echelon was halted until 2009 due to current national economic conditions. Boyd Gaming, Echelon's creator, decided future economic conditions would favor a better financial scenario for the multi-billion dollar project. Wall street applauded the news, which made good financial sense.

 4. Fontainebleau, Las Vegas Strip: $3.4 Billion, Opens Fall 2008. 4000 hotel rooms.

 5. Encore, Las Vegas Strip: $2 Billion, Opens December 2008. A Wynn Las Vegas development, 2,054 luxury suites and casino will compliment the Wynn Las Vegas hotel and casino which resides next door.

 

 6. CosmopolitanLas Vegas Strip: $2 Billion, Opens 2009/2010. The Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino will be a condo hotel which is destined to redefine the Las Vegas skyline with its stunning design, consisting of two glass towers, a casino, a theater, convention and meeting space.

 7. PalazzoLas Vegas Strip, See Photo and hotel description below. The Palazzo is a $1.8 Billion casino hotel which opened in January 2008. The Palazzo is a 50 floor luxury tower with approximately 3,025 luxury suites. Please see details further down this page.

 

 8. Caesars Palace Expansion, Las Vegas Strip: $1 Billion, Opens 2009.

 

 9. Las Vegas Convention Center Expansion: $900 Million, to be completed in three phases.

 

10. Harrah's and AEG New Sports Arena: $500 Million, Opens 2010.

 

11. Las Vegas Sands, New Upgraded Sands Convention Center: $680 Million, Opens 2010. Location at the intersection of Koval Lane and Sands. The new 1.2 million square foot exhibition center, with 36 foot high ceilings and 1,800 parking spaces with moving sidewalks connected to the Palazzo and Venetian casino hotels would also give the Sands the ability to develop 7,000 new, additional hotel rooms.

 

12.  Tropicana Las Vegas, To be completed by 2012. New multi-billion dollar redevelopment to include up to 600,000 square feet of meeting space, 10,224 beautifully appointed guest rooms, 100,000 square foot casino, 250,000 square foot retail mall. First of its kind water attraction ride combined with 3D imagery and 4D technology. The World Famous Folies Bergere, plus a second theater with stage productions. Three luxurious resort spas and fitness centers, plus more.

Palazzo Hotel and Casino Las Vegas!

The Palazzo hotel and casino is a 50 floor luxury tower with approximately 3,025 luxury suites. The hotel lobby features a 60 foot glass dome, multiple two story fountains, imported marble, bronze case columns and special custom wall finishes. Guests arriving from the street, enter the domed entry lobby while those approaching from the Venetian Casino Resort make the transition through a towering octagonal structure, itself topped by a glass and decorative iron dome. The landscape is made up of palm trees, tailored paintings and exotically shaped topiaries.

 

The Palazzo Casino Resort includes over 375 concierge level suites and also includes six villas (up to 11,000 square feet each) which have 3 and 4 bedrooms, 3.5 to 4.5 baths, extensive living areas, media rooms, private pools, private Jacuzzis, private salons, massage areas, heated spas, personal gyms and, also available with private putting greens. The presidential suites and the villas offer private butler services. The Palazzo hotel has 296 multi room suites, including six presidential suites. The Palazzo hotel has an elaborate pool deck with seven pools, gardens, sculptures, cabanas and fountains and an adjacent spa facility.

 

A typical Palazzo hotel suite is approximately 655 to 735 square feet, consisting of a raised sleeping area and bathroom and a sunken living and working area. The suite's bi-level configuration creates a multi-function living space in which guests can sleep, work and entertain and includes two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, a writing desk, dual-line speaker phones, a fax machine, a pullout sofa, sitting chairs and a dining table. The Palazzo Casino Resort features premium, signature restaurants owned and operated by well known restaurateurs.
